Re: Past and present in the phase

It seems that almost every time when I’m in the phase the surroundings are mixed with things of my past.
My phase room is often a mix of how it is now and things that resemble my room when I was a child.
The window for example is sometimes the window of my old room which doesn’t exist anymore or the ceiling is that of the attic where my room used to be

The strange thing is that I’m not surprised by this when I’m in the phase. I’m not amazed by it like I should be,
It seems ‘normal’.

I feel that when I’m in the phase I have good consciousness and memory.
I think even the floor is incredible because of its realness;  yet, when I encounter stuff of my past I’m not astonished by it.

Is this because my consciousness in the phase is in fact not so good and is it selective or is it because I really find it ‘normal’… like there is no past or present in the phase

Is there someone else who is experiencing this ?

I have the same experiences- I often OBE into my old bedroom in my parents house.There are some variations but the theme remains the same and it never surprises me either.I once looked at my 'reflection' and saw myself to be around 13 yr old. 

I've systematically explored most of the neigborhood and found that the details and houses shift; but the general layout remains consistent.I can change locations with certain techniques often,except for sometimes when some type of agency seems to prevent this. (another door appears,a ceiling stretches,etc.)I have some ideas about the'why' behind some of this but I gotta go to work right now...

In the beginning i thought that it was due to a selective consciousness but your experience tells different

There's the theory that when we project to an area that closely resembles this physical reality, what we're experiencing is a collective consciousness recreation of the area as per all the people who live there.  Meaning that it's build entirely from the collective consciousness of those individuals... and how they know and remember that area.

So you'll get bits and pieces of their present and past experiences with any particular area, hence the "past" bits showing up.

In any case, it's just a thought.

I think you try to discuss two absolutely different topics in one thread.

Changed and mixed reality in the phase is normal and it has a lot of theories to explain.

If you have problems with consciousness, it is always the matter of deepening. Of course, sometimes it's almost impossible to get a proper phase.

Here's another explanation for why we see things of the past in the phase which is more evidential: memory which is stored in the subconscious mind.

I once looked at my reflection in the phase once and saw that I looked about twelve and my skin was pale.  My face was really innocent, I was naked and I had no pubic hair!  I guess there is still a sense that we are still children inside too.  It is still there.  After all, we remember being children.

When I started to have obe in my house, it looked almost exactly like when I bought it, which was 2 years ago. I was surprised, because I had a clear memory (during the lucid dream) of the current appearance and furniture, and yet it didn't matter much. I remember when walking downstairs for the first time I was thinking and expecting to see my couch and everything else and it wasn't there.

Also in one of my recent lucid dreams, it was dark, I thought that it was night. So decided to move time to afternoon, and it worked! It worked better then all other methods before I tried (including deepening and conscious control of the light).
