Need Suggestions for How to Share a Sound Recording Here on the Forum

Post by Th3TruthizInThere »

I have an RCA RP5120-A Digital Voice Recorder from which I want to extract a recording snippet and somehow be able to share it with the forum and on my blog. This is described in my blog in more detail here: http://obe4u.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?t ... 82#msg5482

I would like to get feedback from forum members on the experience. Can anyone help me with an easy way to
  1. Pull the recording
  2. Convert to a reasonable format if needed
  3. Place somewhere accessible on the web
  4. Link out to the recording so I can share it here and on my blog
TIA for your help. You've got to hear this.

There's heaps of places you could upload it... For example:
http://www.wikiupload.com/

I chose that file sharing site because chances are that others will be taken down in future (SoPA). That's for docs, music and a variety of files but I recommend a more specific one for music if you can find on.

Google search something like mp3 file sharing or something. Then link to that file in one of your posts.

Good luck :)

Thanks, I figured out how to do this by using the built-in Digital Voice Manager from the recorder to save it as a .wav file on my PC. Then I used freeware called Format Factory to isolate the section I wanted and send it to MP3. Finally I used DropBox to upload and obtain a public link. It is available in my blog now.  8)
