Increased dream memory.

I read the book, SOBT, about a week ago and started attempting to reach the phase; since then I'm able to recall 3-5 dreams every night (at least one almost always being lucid). Before reading the book I'd either remember no dreams or 1 or 2 from the prior night. Anyone else notice this?

Brilliant!  I think the book has inspired you to be more mindful about dreaming.  Sweet! 8)

Yes, this happened to me as well.  You become more sensitive to your sleep cycle.  The problem is trying to keep it up.  After a while, it becomes hard to maintain the same level of motivation, and though i am still aware of my dreams each night, it is harder to remember the details when i wake up.

If you read the first paragraph of Chapter 12: "A Collection of 45  Techniques," and start with the sentence beginning with "Conversely," you will see that Michael has this effect already confirmed.

That's why his book is so good :)

BTW...  The searching capabilities on a kindle are increible!  It is too bad that the MOBI file format is not publicly available.

That's a good point.  Almost everything is in the SOBT in one form or another, though much of it you probably won't understand until you actually experience it.

I've been recording my dreams and remembering them every night.  This has also caused me to enter the phase more than I expected.  I have a backlog of experiences again that I'm eager to post when I have more time.  I also plan to do some cool exercises mentioned in SOBT.  It's so cool!  I'm happy now! ;D
