The practice guidebook is fantastic however the only downside is the fact that there are no techniques perfect for absolutely everyone. I myself started with the practical guidebook for separation techniques however sadly they didn't fit my lifestyle. From day one I have logged my journey which you can find in my always free books on my blog. I have tried a variety of techniques which have provided scattered success. The reason I say this is because you may find a technique in my book that works for you

Just remember that the practical guidebook's other techniques for deepening and maintaining and skills work very well. It's just separation that varies between people. So I still highly recommend you read the practical guidebook for everything else even if the separation techniques don't work for you.

If that's the case then I recommend the lucidology 101 timer technique (chapter 7 of my first book "Entering The Phase - A 17-Year-Old's Journey"). If you find it difficult to stay awake after getting up at 5am that technique will be perfect. Sadly it didnt work well for me (caused temporary insomnia) but I got 2 phase experiences in just 3 days from that technique. Hope all goes well... Good luckOnce asleep I like to stay that way. And after awakening I'm usually too tired to try anything.
