Lucid dreams?

Hi there, I'm new to the forum. For many years I have had vivid dreams and find that I can enter a lucid dream state almost on will early in the mornings.
However, I would like your thoughts on a recent experience.
I had trouble getting to sleep last night so I read a book for a few hours and went to bed very very late.
My body was so tired but my mind would not relax. I shut my eyes and started thinking random thoughts. My thoughts soon turned into a lucid dream that I was being chased by a gunman. I was terrified. Then it got really weird. I started to feel dizzy or like I was falling backwards in my own head. (Like when you go to bed drunk and the room seems to move). The falling sensation increased. I also suffer from epilepsy and at this point I thought I was about to have a fit (I am on strong meds to control this).
I forced myself awake, I opened my eyes and a white figure hovered near the bed over me. It was not threatening. I then realised my eyes were still shut and woke very quickly. The figure had gone.
It really freaked me out.
On another occasion I slept in the spare room. I woke up and floated around the house then realised it was a dream and properly woke up.
On yet another occasion I had a lucid dream, I stopped a man and said I was in a dream, he didn't deny it but told me to be quiet. Very strange.
