What is the easiest way to separate/phase

I plan to separate on Thursday(because I wake up for school early and can't be tired, and Thursday is a PA Day for me) but I don't have a good enough method, I am a first-time phaser and only plan to do it once or twice, but I have no plan to enter the phase, I don't want to go without sleep all night, nor have to have complicated crap all over the place, so I need an easy plan.
