Any position that is comfortable-back,front,side,it doesn't matter for me.

In the middle of the night after getting up, bathroom, starting a focus meditation etc., ON MY BACK, facing up.
Upon awakening normally in the morning, and forcing myself back to sleep and doing the rollout, ON MY SIDE (but sometimes on my back, facing up)...
but overall... usually on my back, facing up.
(I do not recall ever projecting while on my stomach... not even once...that's not to say it never happened -- since I usually do not pay attention to position. But I know I never started to even try to project from a laying on the stomach position -- I usually only spend a minute or two like that as I am rolling around just to get into sleep mode.)

I don't know....
Most of the times, I perceive my body while I'm separating as if I were on my back, but then, I wake up in weird and uncomfortable positions...

If I stay on my back it does not work. I cannot fall asleep or anything. I usually am on my side or on my stomach. However, I've thought about using FFA with this. I'd go to bed, stay on my back until I am so sleepy that I automatically turn over, then I just keep saying "I am dreaming!". I've had a few separations like this. Usually when I turn on my side it's clearly I am close to falling asleep.

On my back or on the side. I tend to sleep on my stomach though. I voted for on my back because it is what I've done lately.
THE PHASE = waking consciousness during sleep hybridisation at 40Hz of brainwave activity conducive to lucid dreaming and autoscopy.
