Art inspired by the Phase

All these pieces of art are inspired by things that I've experienced in the Phase.  Some are pretty old at a time when I was pretty much naive about the whole thing.  Others more recent and after I had a major paradigm shift.  Feel free to post your own Phase-related art too!  8)

Many of my experiences in one big picture:
Image

Once I looked at my hand and then I could create characters in slow motion.  Torsos started to form as well as a mad landscape:
Image
What I sometimes look like when I look at mirrors - although lately I tend to look normal.  In this one I also apparently rescued a little girl from being trapped in a bubble environment inside a mirror:
Image
My first experience where I could seemingly see the world as it is, no anomalies spotted.  Now I'm thinking that it is all the same, you always move in mental space, but, whereas some experiences are more in tune with the surreal, others tend to seem more true to life (less anomalies spotted in the room replicas - perhaps expressions of both right and left brain hemispheres):
Image

In this one, I encountered a beautiful hyper-real fantasy world.  After finding similar descriptions of worlds like this in a David Fontana book about the afterlife and discovering that the spiritual movement refers to them as "Summerland" or "Summerlands", I decided to refer to this experience as my "Summerland experience".  Because it had such an impact on me, I decided to call myself "Summerlander" in Forums.  :D
Image

These two pictures belong to the same Phase experience where I visited a temple:

This one is when I went through a wormhole and visited my friend Mike who lives across London from me.  Later he confirmed that certain things coincided with what he was doing plus stuff that was on his mind.  Like I got the gist or something.  Still, coincidence could rule the whole thing out and we haven't been able to concretely prove that the Phase may provide telepathic links to the minds of others:
Image

These jesters freaked me out a little at the time:
Image

This is where I stumbled upon a desert island with a pyramid.  Inside I met a character that resembles Frank Kepple of Astral Pulse.  Some believe I stumbled upon Astral Pulse Island.  Others believe that, because I was exposed to the idea, my subconscious conjured it up:
Image

These are sketches of hooded figures, veiled/robed ones etc.  I stumbled upon them once and was shown nurseries and kids by one of them.  They could be archetypal.  who knows!  They appeared in a dark spatiality:
Image

Image

I've seen these transparent/shadowy hands before.  I call them phantom limbs.  Sometimes I just feel them.  Other times I see them:
Image

My "quasimodos" picture.  These little fellas wouldn't leave me alone when I was ill.  In the waking state, I felt rough, once I entered the Phase, I felt fine, but, I had fans!  ;D
Image

What "Summerland" could look like at night:
Image

This one is dedicated to my deceased stepfather whom I can meet with in the Phase (he always looks younger there):
Image

This is an imagined world that I plan to visit in the Phase:

And this one reminds me that demons have no existence but a subjective one.  To me they are just nightmares that can manifest in the Phase, but, you can erased them or transmute them every time by simply denying their existence in your mind.  Face your fears and work on your dissonant states of mind and these fellas simply cease to be:

Thank you Summerlander. they are awesome.

You are very talented.

Congratulations on your marriage and being able to exit they same day as your wedding.  ;D

One thing stands out to me:

Good stuff, nice work. I once saw myself in a mirror much the same way-all melted looking and such. It actually jolted me to lucidity,I turned away ,leaned on a wall and said to myself "holy $h!t !.... Yup,I'm dreaming"

Thanks, man.  Yeah, the phase exceeds the pictures in quality.  It has that crisp look where things seem to jump at you.  You know what I mean.  By the way, which one is the scariest for you?  Sometimes things can be scary.  I used to be more scared when I first started.  :o

Fantastic artwork. Your dreams look very exciting too. In comparison mine usually happen in dark, industrial places.

This one is by Salvador Dali.  I think most of his art was inspired by dreams, hypnagogic hallucinations, and, quite possibly, the phase.  I love Surrealism.  Pretty soon I'll be posting more of my art based on phase experiences, btw!  In the meantime, feel free to post your phase-related art too!  :)

I entered the phase at the end of last month and had the experience of being abducted by aliens.  Thinking about it, watching Stephen Spielberg's Taken prior to that might have influenced my mind to create such an awesome reality...but frightening nonetheless!! Gulp!

The best thing about phase experiences is that they inspire me with my art.  I no longer need to think about ideas, my mind supplies me with everything I want when it comes to art, and also gives me the incentive to find the time to do it.  Once I get started I can't stop.  I love it.  Thank goodness for the phase!  Everyone needs to practice entering it.  Start paying attention to your dreams to induce the state during sleep and also take the opportunity to perform indirect techniques when you wake up.

Here's a depiction of my "abduction":

Awesome Summerlander.  I wonder why those Aliens always seem to want to drill everyone's navel?

Your drawing of "Spirit Guides?" gave me a chuckle.

I'm glad because that is the idea! :)

Maybe the aliens are a mental residue of our former bodies in the womb.  They looked like foetuses and the navel being drilled could be symbolic for umbilical cord being severed and a gradual loss of innocence.  The machines could represent knowledge and the aliens' behaviour and expressions represent a departure from childhood emotional states.  On the other hand it is most likely relative to what I have recently experienced in waking life and what went through my mind at the time.

I thought the "spirit guides" would give you a chuckle, btw.  Looking back, it makes me chuckle too! :D

I wondered if spirit guides were real for some time and the interpretations from most people that surrounded me at the time were quite spiritual and New Age.  Overtime, however, I went through quite a few paradigm shifts and now I'm more like Michael Raduga and Stephen LaBerge.

I've always been fickle and hence the question mark at the end of "spirit guides"...to allow room for change! ;D

There's is a german contemporary painter. His name is 'Neo Rauch'.
He gets his images partly by lucid dreams.

Thanks, davidvaldes! :)

I will continue to produce art based on my experiences and will continue to post them here.  I am also writing a book about OOBEs and lucid dreams and I think my pictures could be good illustrations for it since they provide people with a glimpse of the worlds we encounter in the phase.

I really dig your ART, Summerlander.

I'm trying to figure out how to insert them.

upload them from your file or use photobucket like I do.  Then copy and paste the link and place it between [ img]...[ /img].

If you have further problems, perhaps Michael might help! ;)

Thanks you so much, you just helped me expanded my OB posting experience. I have a few CGI's, from a few years ago I'd  like you to take a look at, and give me your take. also a few ink drawings I did while trying to paint what a feeling might look like. If any of this keys you in some way, please let me know.

Also, I have a sister who has a small gallery on a web-site I'm trying to build up, where she is trying to express feelings after her NDE. I'm not selling anything, I'm trying to explore this experience, and make it rich, as you said, to anyone who wants to just go with it full throttle. I'll try to get a few posted today my time.

Comment are always welcome.

The navel is considered the seat of the sole or the window to it, in many cultures. In metaphor drilling into it, is like stepping through the door to OBE's unborn or un-realized.

Summerlander, again beautiful inspiring work.

Be well
