I just had to share this!!!

Two mornings ago I was just going off to sleep when I saw a white Ford Falcon car in my vision. It was making a right hand turn at the lights to go to my local shopping center and I was in the car behind it. I went around the corner too quickly and had to slam on the breaks, I nearly hit it.
Today when I went to the shop, which car was I behind at the lights making a right hand turn?!?! The white FORD FALCON. Needless to say I kept a safe distance!!

Very cool!

I'm curious about your personal interpretation if you care to share it.Do you think this was precognitive or coincidence?
IMHO,
Personally I don't believe these types of dreams are coincidence at all,I've had a few myself too.I think this dream is very interesting because it might have a sort of naturalistic-survival value component to it.But because our commonly accepted notions of space-time and objectivity do not account for something like this,I think the explanation of 'natural' should be expanded.
Thanks for posting this.

I agree Jeff, i think that interesting insights can be gotten from dreams, not necessarily the future, but perhaps possible futures depending on what actions you take. If everything works round mathematical principles perhaps the unconscious mind has a way of calculating possible events in the near future by determining previous actions from not only our own mind but from the 'universal mind', and thus providing us with some sort of precognition. It might sound far fetched but i quite like this idea.

That's so cool Luna!! I used to have that stuff happen to me a lot. Not so much anymore

I'm not too sure where my opinion lays on this subject just yet. I don't believe in coincidence but the question for me is... Did I predict that it was going to happen or did I create my reality with the dream?

I could talk around and around in circles and end up in the same spot..... "I know nothing."
I felt a bit empowered either way.
I agree it is very interesting!!
Oh and yes it was an old one. Your question has intrigued me....do tell!

I don't know if I understood properly but do you mean that you think our life is already layed out for us?
Edit:Dreamsrock.....BLAST! it was really cool! I was sitting at the lights going "NO WAY!!!!" lol.

I ask because old ford falcons are not often seen on the road,at least where I live.I can't remember the last time I saw an old Ford falcon. So that would make your experience all the more interesting-an old, white ford falcon is a very specific prediction.I believe this alone makes coincidence much less likely of an explanation.
To analyze just alittle,
One can vaguely argue and hand wave that 'the subconscious mind' (what ever that might be anyway) does this, and it does that. One might say 'It' just 'created' that experience(how?)from memories of seeing cars like that around throughout your waking life, etc, etc.(taking for granted the assumption that memories=neurons, which even Penfield himself didn't believe) But if such a car is not likely to be taken in by the senses, subconsciously or otherwise because so few of them are on the road, then why should the 'subconscious' (implying an information process limited exclusively to matter within the boundaries of your skull, and past sensory experience) select such a very specific model of car and situation? What are the odds? I think it's atleast a safe assumption to say that what ever assembled this experience and presented it to your ego consciousness is intelligent and purposeful.I don't think we can say that about biochemicals and electricity. These things act as the laws of chemistry and physics compell them to.There is no room for choice here. Why should we assume intelligent and purposeful experiences emerge from electro-chemical lawlike behavior?
And again there was a survival value to the experience.Meaning that such a precognition could even have an evolutionary -selection purpose. So not to say that known science can't be reconciled with this type of stuff.Would you have kept your distance had you not had the dream?
IMO a broader explanation is justified. And I think, personally, that an explanation such as the one breadbassed suggested is better supported than a materialist one.( For example savants across all cultures may not require repetition or practice when aquiring new skills. Normally learning a piano piece or recreating a complex scene in a painting requires the reinforcement of neural pathways called 'long term potentiation.'Savants however seem to bypass this process as if the knowledge is already 'there.'This flies in the face of known theories of memory.Could they access a more universal knowledge base?)
I can't speak for him,but I wouldn't interpret that to say that our lives are layed out for us. This cannot be because quantum mechanical experiments have proven a degree of indeterminacy in waking reality.'Quantum Chaos' theory shows that this indeterminacy can be amplified to the macro scale,I see this as an open door for the existence of freewill.

Thanks for the detailed response!
Just to clarify about the car. I googled it and it was a Falcon form the 80's (in my terms old

) but like you said, I can't remember the last time I saw one.
I like your take on things and I am leaning alot more towards that direction in life myself. I have only just discoverd this year the 'Universal mind' we are all one, this is just a dream, the holographic universe and so on and I identify with alot of it but I still having trouble trying to get my head around some things...the 'mechanics' of it all. I'm just not there yet. It contradicts it's self but makes so much sense at the same time. A paradox. That's why I said "I know nothing"

Yeah i wasn't saying that life was laid out, you have free will and can change your life to be how you want it to be.
Consider though, if you take the same route, at the same time on most days, and someone else has a similar routine, the chances of your paths crossing would be high. Or perhaps because you dreamt about that car you were more likely to spot it, and it has significance. Maybe you had seen that car before but not taken notice of it (and perhaps subconsciously imprinted it).
I think the best interpretation would be synchronicity.
I agree though, at the end of the day, we don't really 'know' anything

I think the best interpretation would be synchronicity.
And what does that mean?
One mind remember.?? We all have all knowledge and existence dwelling within (wherever and whatever that is)
I don't think anyone can work anything out, nor ever will.
Going with the flow, would be the most appropriate and beneficial way to gain the most from each experience in each moment.
That car could have been from her childhood. A parallel universe. A previous life. A warning. Another programme. The Matrix. A movie. Fear. A lie. An illusion. A dream. It's all projection blah blah blah!
I see things often. I don't have a clue where they come from.
Or in what order. I don't think there is any order nor is it a coincidence, there is no such thing. Of course it is an intelligence Jeff, and yes it's not your brain's intelligence. Photons of vibrational light would be more accurate.
I too know Nothing!!

Yeah,at the end of the day we don't really know.. that's why I try to give all logically valid theories equal consideration.
Anyway,I wonder how many reports of precognitive dreams have some life or safety threatening aspects to them?
I'm curious because about 5 years ago on vacation in Poland I think I may have had one too.We were at my wife's father's home in her old village and I was sleeping in late. She had been up w/ my 3 yr old daughter and had put her into a dress, then they went into the backyard to play. There was an above ground pool toward the back of the property. She couldn't swim yet at this time.
In my dream, my daughter was playing-hanging from a bridge over some water.I was trying to get her to stop and climb up-she wouldn't listen. She let go and fell into the water below, struggled and then disappeared under.
I woke up disturbed by this. Within a minute or two later,my wife came in w/ her all wet.It turned out that my daughter had run over to the pool and jumped in when my wife was distracted for a moment. My wife had to climb in and save her from drowning.I've always thought this was very odd.

Wow!! What a horrific dream.

Thank goodness your wife was there with your daughter when she fell into the pool!
I find it very interesting aswell as helpful. I hope they don't stop. Another of my dreams has come to reality in the last 24hrs!!

I actually had the dream about 2-3 mths ago. I won't share the details as it is private. It's all very interesting.....

From my personal experiences I like to call these premonitions - no matter how minimal they might seem. Having these sort of dream is not uncommon by many but what is more uncommon is people being able to recall them.
What if you did not recall your dream on a mental level but once you saw the car again you felt it through your body? Perhaps just a surge and you wouldn't have known what it meant. Perhaps then when you saw the car in real life you suddenly recalled your dream that you haven't given a thought to while being awake. I've had all of these different outcomes before when recalling premonitions.
