Sleep paralysis experiement... Awake all night

I have a great ability when it comes to staying awake and conscious. Unfortunately this does not work to well when attempting wilds (wake induced lucid dreams) as I find I usually wake up at 4:30am, go the toilet and then stay motionless (apart from swallowing) for 50 minutes but never fall into sleep or sleep paralysis. I end up giving up when light pours into my room.
I am thinking about doing an experiment...
1. Go to bed at your normal time.... for me this is 11:00 - 11:30pm
2. Stay still yet stay focused either on visualizations or your body.
3. If nothing happens keep trying...... Don't move and don't give up... Don't even worry about getting no sleep.
4. If you get a huge urge to move DONT!!! THIS IS A FANTASTIC SIGN!!!!
5. Hopefully after 2 minutes of resiting movement after a huge urge to move your body will think your mind is asleep and will put you in sleep paralysis.
I am gonna try this in a few days from now...
If anyone else wants to try this they are welcome to but personally this is my own technique I have come up with as I feel its perfect for me (easily able to remain awake). I am only worried about needing to go to the toilet... This I will have to do but I will return to bed and continue where I left off.
If anyone has anything they want to say go ahead... Nothing however will stop me from attempting this
If you wanna try this yourself tell me how it goes... Remember to not attempt dipping in and out of conciouness... just stay awake
Good luck (for you and myself

on our attempts)

I tried it a few times but nothing happens. Not even the urge to move. I tried for over an hour and after that, I lose consciousness anyway or give up. Maybe I'm just impatient?

I have currently put this experience on hold myself... I have just come up with another technique which worked for me...
I am guessing your mind was too awake when trying this out. If your body notices your mind is too alert it will not activate sleep paralysis. Maybe try creating an internal world to walk around and immerse yourself in while you wait for sleep paralysis to activate.

Ok, what kind of technique do you use now?
Thanks for the tip. I'll try it.

Currently I am trying to use the phase car technique which I developed after attempting to induce sleep paralysis upon awakening. The idea I had was my body would wake up and think I am asleep since I didn't move... in otherwords "mind is not awake I'll put body in sleep paralysis again..." I then started visualizing the inside of a car upon a conscious awakening in hope to induce sleep paralysis but produced a phase experience instead...
If your interested in inducing sleep paralysis you should totally check this out:

However I am becoming skeptical about inducing sleep paralysis any other way than awakening without moving repetitively.
In my opinion your much better visualizing an internal world... check out my phase car topic here:

Well I had a little go of this and after an hour I experienced an interesting shift in awareness. After hearing a popping noise my nose was no longer blocked and my body felt different. Feel free to read the full experience on my blog:

A friend of mine experiences sleep paralysis quite frequently, is this some sort of way to enter the phase as well, and if you try it in that state, will it work?

Yes sleep paralysis is the phase yet you have not separated yet. Simply roll out while in sleep paralysis and you can start a phase...
I am actually going to make a habit of these sleep paralysis experiences and make it a proper technique in a new thread which I will use to to link to all my awake all night experiments... So far I have done 2... There's only one on my blog but the results of another are going to be added soon. Both times I have done this I have gotten a shift unawareness,... The 2nd so far Undocumented one has even more amazing results. I will post in a day or two a new thread with my results for the 2nd experiment and also the 3rd which I will perform tonight.
Look forward to many interesting experiments like this

Stay awake all night... So when you go to bed at night don't go to sleep... Just stay awake for a few hours without moving... Check out the official awake all night topic... I was hoping this one would die
