Lucid Dreaming and OBE Discussion Board

I have successfully acquired semi-personal proof that the "phase" has connections to others minds here:

Also if you have any idea's of what would account for full scientific proof of telepathic links within the phase post them here.

I have believed this to be true for some years now;it ain't easy convincing others of this though-I've pretty much given up trying.I,myself, wouldn't have taken this idea too seriously either if it were not for two major events that occured in the phase to me:

The first was many years ago.I was sleeping at a girlfriends apartment when I became Lucid.A telephone rang in my dream and when I answered it was my grandfather's voice,he was "calling to tell me goodbye". Right afterwards,I woke up and a few moments later there was a knock on the door.Her mother was waking me to tell me that I had an emergency phone call.I told my girlfriend that "I know it's about my grandfather."

As it turned out,in waking life he was in fact on his death bed at the time of the Lucid Dream.(I didn't know what they were called then) He had had a massive heart attack and was intubated and sedated on life support in an ICU 1,200 miles away in Philly.There was no previous warning of a heart condition.

The other event was even more convincing for me.You can read it in the link below.Scroll to page 38 "Most profound OBE/LD to Date"I forgot to mention in it that the guy I interacted with in fact used to dye his hair brown.

As for scientific explanations.There are alot of possible ones.I lean towards ideas from 'externalism' and 'extended mind' theories, quantum entangled superpositions (Relational Quantum Mechanics allows for macro scale superpositions) ,multiverse ideas and that consciousness itself (distinct from it's contents) is a fundmental aspect of reality.

Below I have included my view and a skeptics view to prove that science can disprove anything... The following quotes are from Jeff's experiences.

My view:Wow it's amazing how you had a dream of your grandfather calling to say goodbye the same time he died... Did you ever have dreams before that of him/dream of him often...

skeptics view: coincidence / knew he was sick and the dream was your worry of his death.

My view: Wow looks like you extracted the info from your wife's mind... Maybe by seeing someone In the phase you have access to all their memories from the energy/objects surrounding them in the phase. E.g. On day 56 of my eBook I had a dream of meeting Luna in the 1930s... Although she does not remember this she did told me after my dream on the forums that she loves the 1930s...

Skeptics view: although you don't remember it you may have seen this man briefly in a photo album belonging to your wife...

Well,he actually died the next day right after we rushed 1,200 miles to see him.I had never had a dream about him before this,and his heart attack was a surprise to all.( Though he did have a greasy diet...)

Sure skeptics can say it was coincidence,but the fact is that many people do in fact report similar experiences with their family members in distress,at death or even after death.

As for my wife's deceased friend:To answer the skeptical interpretation,I most certainly did not ever see his photo or hear him discussed at any time previous to my phase experience what so ever.His photo was at the bottom of an old box tucked away in a drawer.Of course,the only other explanation left is fraud.That's why it's personal proof.It didn't take place under tightly controlled experimental conditions so it can never be more than anecdotal to people other than myself and my wife.
