Lucid Dreaming and OBE Discussion Board

This whole forum seems to have been discovered by an automatic forum poster...

The short term solution = micheal removing these manually...

The medium term solution = micheal giving trusted users the ability to delete spam posts

The long term solution = micheal tracking the ip addresses of these forum posters and blocking them from access of this site.

What do you guys think?

there will be a solution soon.  We just have to avoid those posts and keep discussing the phase and other topics as normal.

Is there any chance that something could go wrong such as lost posts or incompatibilities?

I used to moderate on Astral Viewers and when there were spambots we used to delete their posts and their accounts.  Is it the same thing here, Michael?

No worries, I'll get right on it.  I check the OBE Forum on a daily basis.

That sounds great!  I think that having various moderators is always best for a forum to avoid the influx of incoming spam. It's easy to spot.  Also having users reporting spam would be very helpful for those moderators.

Unfortunately blocking IP's doesn't really help since it's so easy to just get so many different IP's nowadays.  I think a community approach would work best.
