I Know What You Did in the Last Phase…

I can confidently say that every practitioner of the phase (lucid dreams and out-of-body journeys), beginners and experienced practitioners alike, have experienced lucid dream sex. It’s no secret that the realm of the unconscious harbors both hidden and overt desires, feelings, and emotions. And the first thing we encounter when we become closer to the unconscious (entering the phase) is a fundamental desire to satisfy our basic human needs.

lucid dream sex

Hunger in lucid dreams drives us to consume all sorts of delicacies and even forbidden foods. Fortunately, this doesn’t affect our figure in any way; on the contrary, it is an effective way to reduce our psychological dependence on food.

Fear in lucid dreams can lead to endless running from the illusions of the mind, or it can turn into an aggressive defense response. Or, contrarily, it might promote the ability to interact with one’s fear, find its cause, and eventually get rid of negative manifestations of fears altogether.

Sexual desires and their satisfaction in lucid dreams can eliminate complexes and sexually based fears. This can also lead to liberation and positive changes in relationships if a couple has had difficulties in this area.

A phaser (man or woman) can do things during a sexual experience in a lucid dream that they would be unable to do in reality due to “propriety boundaries” or “internal limitations.” Or they can simulate a situation to overcome psychological barriers and become psychologically more resilient to any problems they may be facing.

It is worth noting that when working through various sexual fears, inhibitions, and phobias in the context of the phase, some people may find certain recommendations suitable while others do not. That is, the boundaries of ethics or propriety are not always appropriate here and should be determined by a specialist (a psychologist-instructor of phase practice) individually for each person. Sometimes, to get rid of a psychological problem of a sexual nature, the practitioner can do what they would never do in real life. Or, on the contrary, they might learn to calm their overly persistent “unbridled sexual fervor,” and find another way to release “steam.”

How Sexual Experiences Are Perceived in Lucid Dreams and Out-of-Body Experiences

The experience of having sex in a lucid dream is no different from the experience of having sex in a state of physical perception. The phantom body and phantom sensory organs work the same way as physical ones. The same impulses are sent to the brain, the same hormones are produced, and orgasms are experienced the same way. Moreover, the phaser can learn to experience another orgasm immediately after the previous one since there’s no connection with the physical body and, therefore, no need for a break. The sensations and effects obtained can be “reset” and modeled anew.

But in the process of exploring the sexual areas of the phase during orgasm and overflowing with feelings, a beginner practitioner will often return to the body. And even if women are not very bothered by this, a man who has experienced an orgasm in the phase may discover a surprise upon returning to the physical body. But this can be avoided with consistent practice.

Can Sex in a Lucid Dream Be Considered Cheating?

The experience of sexual encounters in the phase (lucid dreams and out-of-body journeys) is, in fact, no different from a sexual experience in a state of physical perception. Can it be considered cheating when a practitioner has sex in a lucid dream? We have repeatedly discussed this issue during individual work with students. In this part of the article, I will outline the main conclusions on this topic.

Form Your Own Attitude

The answer to the question “Is this cheating?” depends on how you interpret the situation. Essentially, you are modeling a situation within yourself using your psychic resources, with real sensations. You may be eating food, playing sports, obtaining information, or having a sexual experience. Physically, you are not meeting with another person, and everything that is modeled in a lucid dream is part of you. To put it jokingly, by having sex in a lucid dream, you are having sex with yourself. The dream is a virtual reality created based on the resources of your psyche and unconscious. In your own virtual reality, you allow one thing to be and another not to be.

Note that when having sex with our partner in a state of physical perception, our sensory organs are stimulated, and the pleasure we get from sex comes not from our partner but from the impulses our sensory organs send to the brain. Our partner and the pheromones emitted by their body are important, of course, but can arousal be reproduced without a partner if you have an active imagination? And is achieving an orgasm without a partner considered cheating?

What Will Happen If Everything Becomes Permissible?

If you have sex not with your spouse but with an actor or rock star in a lucid dream, is this acceptable?

Why is it acceptable to go on stage with Bon Jovi and play a solo on the electric guitar to the song “It’s My Life” in the phase, while it’s unacceptable to have a brief romance with Orlando Bloom or Scarlett Johansson? The essence is the same; the phaser models any experience they might want to live out.

Does this mean that such permissiveness can carry over into life in physical perception? Will girls start chasing every Orlando? Will guys start throwing themselves at every Scarlett? And will people start snatching guitars from every rock band in physical reality? On the contrary, the aspiration will already have been realized in the lucid dream, and there will be no need for it in physical perception. This is a personal practice, and it’s your business what you do in the phase.

About Love in Lucid Dreams

From the point of view of human ethics, the question “Why are you having sex in the phase with someone else and not with me?” is understandable, but I consider it possible because love itself is not sex. Sex is sensual pleasure (or more precisely, the physiological need for procreation), which reinforces love, but sex is not the cause of love.

We get pleasure when watching an erotic scene in a movie, but that isn’t considered cheating. So why should an experience in a lucid dream be considered as such?

It’s not worth thinking that if sex is just pleasure, and love is something else, then you can love one person and have sex with someone else. Within the framework of human ethics and in our society, this is certainly not acceptable.

But let’s take a broader look. In some countries, polygamy is the norm and is not considered cheating. As an extreme example, in some African tribes, it is still considered normal for all the men in the tribe to sleep with the bride on her wedding day; in fact, it is considered an honor. They do not experience any guilt about this, as we would, because this behavior is accepted in their society.

Whether a sexual encounter in a lucid dream counts as is cheating or not depends on how we perceive it. After all, in our society, there are many views and dogmas on such issues.

Currently, we cannot say whether it is good or bad. We can only form our own attitudes about this issue outside the framework of societal rules and the dogmas in our heads.

Possibilities of Sexual Experiences in Lucid Dreams

Of course, sexual experiences in lucid dreams should not replace the need to build harmonious relationships in life. On the contrary, one should strive to build relationships in life and have a full-fledged sex life with the help of the phase, if necessary. Every phase practitioner has many opportunities for this. For example, you can:

  • Experience your first sexual encounter (in adolescents, this often happens less consciously through dreams)
  • Get rid of psychological and physical blocks (physical blocks are often associated with psychological ones)
  • Have sexual experiences that would be impossible in physical perception (temporary or long absence of a partner)
  • Carry out various sexual experiments and then repeat them in physical perception
  • Model a situation involving physical aggression and then stop yourself so that you are psychologically prepared to do so in similar situations in life
  • Have full-fledged sexual experiences even if you have a physical disability or injury
  • Have full-fledged sexual experiences without the risk of pregnancy

If you sometimes use lucid dreams and out-of-body experiences to attempt to escape from reality, then you should work on yourself so that you don’t want to run away. So that in real life it would be as good as in lucid dreams.

Lucid Dream Sex – Examples

Phaser #1 – Unplanned Sex

Today I became aware in a dream when I was riding on another person. I realized that this was simply impossible, and awareness manifested immediately after that. But I didn’t want to change anything and decided to just observe the plot. I was absolutely lucid and perfectly understood that at any moment I could stop the plot. I dreamed of some research laboratory located in a huge building. They were researching me there. They wanted to read all my memories and find something important. For a long time, I wandered through different parts of this building. I went out onto a balcony and jumped out the window. Finding myself on the ground on the building’s porch, I looked around. My gaze turned upward. People with large wings, like angels, were flying in the sky. I flew up and for a while soared with them in the clouds. Then I descended to the ground and returned to the building. After wandering through the surroundings and stairwells, I wanted to have sex with someone. But not as usual; I decided to do everything culturally and humanely, as in life. I started looking for a suitable girl. One of them I liked, and I approached her and directly offered to have sex. She turned, thought over my proposal for a long time, then smiled and said, “Let’s go to your place.” I didn’t know where I lived, so I suggested going to her place. That’s what we did. We got to where she lived, went in, undressed, and lay down in bed. After brief passionate embraces with all that follows, I suddenly thought about my body, and I started being pulled back. I felt myself on my bed. After several attempts to separate and return to the events, I opened my eyes.

Phaser #2 – The Annoying Neighbor

  • Got up by the alarm clock. Lay down after about 15 minutes. Tossed for a long time to get comfortable. Started techniques. As usual: fleeting images and weak phantom sensations. After two cycles, I felt it was better to fall asleep. Woke up. There were more stable images. I remembered that, in fact, this is the phase, even if I don’t fully understand it. Woke up several times and looked around the room. Only because of unreal details (some kind of white lace, as if cut into paper flowers) did I realize that I woke up in the phase. The phase is realistic; the walls are impenetrable. Went into the neighbor’s apartment. Again, her husband met me. But this time he was more aggressive and didn’t want to hear about anything. I found myself in a loop.
  • Went out again. Started working through the plan. Neighbor’s door. I go in. In the opposite door immediately the “husband”—a huge man about 2 meters tall with a mustache, condescendingly smiling, like, “Well, finally, you came to your senses!” In the next room, the wife, in a white T-shirt and black leggings, of medium height, shapely, very inviting. I hug her, feeling pleasant warmth, tenderness, and affection. We move to the bed (now the blog is 18+!). She says something to me, from which I understand that perhaps the “husband” is not a husband at all, but the husband has just gone somewhere. Then the mustached giant slightly opens the door and, as if apologetically, says “Just a minute.” I get distracted “for a minute,” then turn back to the bed. The “wife” has disappeared; only the leggings remain 🙂 I woke up. I felt that the romantic interaction (even so fleeting) filled me with a feeling of satisfaction.
  • Woke up again. The doors are conveniently open. I see several rooms in the apartment, and it’s quite spacious. I’m immediately met by the neighbor and his wife. The neighbor turned out to be talkative and a rather humorous, cheerful fellow. He joked a lot and meaningfully, but I don’t remember the details of the conversation. At some point, he concluded that we simply had to drink vodka 🙂 It would be a sin to refuse such an offer. I remembered that I have a lot of fruit in the fridge; I say, “Let me run for tangerines.” But I’m afraid because I’ll have to pass not far from the body. And so it happened—I got caught. But I manage to separate again. I return, and here comes the neighbor’s wife, it seems, in just a nightgown. All feminine and exciting. She reaches out to me and whispers something. I gently hug her by the hips, and here comes the neighbor; we are already practically hugging the three of us. But we have our men’s affairs; we need to get tangerines from my fridge and drink vodka! Now we’re going together with the neighbor; he’s ahead. And then my phantom body got cut off. Tried to return again but apparently tried incorrectly because only wild heart palpitations ensued. Ah! Well, dear neighbor. We will definitely drink vodka with you as soon as I’m in the phase again.
  • In one of the episodes, I imagined myself (as if drawing) standing in a room. And I discovered that I could already see myself quite clearly, almost like during the day. From this moment, the phase began. I found myself in the next room (in reality, my apartment is a one-room apartment). It was light; it was morning, and everything was clearly visible. I decided to scrupulously adhere to the plan, so I went into my room and then went out through the window. Slowly—very slowly, only making sure of complete safety, I descend. Below, it’s summer and four women. I approached one buxom, plump woman, and the process began. She was not very much for it but not particularly against it either. And before and during the process, I was probably for the first time at this stage of my phase consciously examining details and beginning to feel the approach of exiting the phase. I managed to avoid it. But here’s the problem—the sex in the lucid dream ended with the same: ejaculation in reality. Naturally, this ended the phase as well. The fullness of female sexual energy is felt to a much lesser extent than during the fleeting contact described earlier. That is, a simple fling in the phase will not fundamentally solve anything. I want to learn to establish a connection with the female part of my soul.
  • Woke up. Separated quite easily. Into the corridor to the neighbors. Went into the apartment. Two are sleeping on the bed, a man and a woman. But this time I didn’t get confused and touched her. She got up, very gently and excited; light seemed to come from within (this effect sometimes happens in movies). The blanket slipped from her chest; I gently touched her and found myself back in my body. Separated again and decided to continue. But this time I invited her to my place. Just as something began to take shape, I was back in my body. But I began to imagine the process, and soon it became real. This time there were no uncertainties—quite distinct, gentle feelings. The pace turned out to be quite energetic; we changed positions; in reality, at such a pace, everything would have ended quickly. It was very good, but I don’t remember how the process ended; her mother came and started saying something and scolding us about the mess in the house—that’s where it all ended.

Phaser #3 – Unexpected Desire

This time, awareness occurred in a dream. I became aware because I found myself in the old apartment where I no longer live and immediately realized that I was in the phase. The image quality was wonderful—hyper-realistic, if you can call it that; visibility was 20% brighter than in reality. I felt smells; it was early morning. The air was filled with a pleasant smell of rain. Apparently, it had rained. Through rare clouds, sun rays were breaking through. The mood was wonderful. I decided to find someone. I turned the corner and saw a person in the distance. I ran along the path and got close to her; it was a girl. Overwhelmed by sudden feelings and desires, I wanted intimacy, and I immediately did with her what I wished. After that, I looked at the bus stop in the distance; there was a green light on the traffic light, and I decided to go straight to it. For some reason, I suddenly wanted to take the girl in my arms. She was not heavy at all. Everything was in some kind of bright haze. Suddenly, I was carried back into my body. I glanced at the traffic light, which was glowing green, and the next moment I was lying in my bed.

Phaser #4 – Transformation

In this experience, I wanted to do an experiment and make love, but not as usual, but to transform into a girl and try to experience what girls experience during sex. After exiting, I found myself next to the bathroom, and as I entered it, the idea arose to find a partner there. I thought that I would be uncomfortable contacting a man, and because of this, the experience would not work, and I might return to the body. There was indeed a man in the bathroom, but he looked quite decent and did not cause rejection. I realized that nothing would come of it this way and began to feel my body, trying to feel it as a female body—to feel female hips, waist, and breasts. I was feeling my body and then looked at it, and it indeed became female. The closeness of the female body began to excite me; I completely felt myself in a female body. It was unusual to find instead of genitals—a void or their absence—but I understood that this is how it should be and that this is not an absence but, on the contrary, a presence, just different, in a feminine way. I leaned against the wall and pulled the standing man towards me, positioning myself so that his sexual organ would go where it should. I didn’t pay attention to the surrounding environment and immersed myself in sensations; then no thoughts arose that could return me to the body, and perhaps the sensations kept me there. It was quite unusual and pleasant to feel inside me the active side of my partner. If in a man his erogenous zone is kind of outside the body, then in my case, in the female body, it is inside, and pleasure spreads in streams throughout your abdomen inside you. Then I decided that that was enough and, in a pleasant state, went to enact the next plan.

Are lucid dreams possible and how to get into them

FAQ

Is a sex dream a lucid dream?
Not necessarily. A sex dream can occur without lucidity—meaning you’re simply experiencing the dream without realizing you’re dreaming. Lucid dreams, on the other hand, involve conscious awareness within the dream. While some sex dreams can be lucid, many are just vivid experiences shaped by the subconscious without any control or self-awareness.
Can you lucid dream about sex?
Yes, you can. Once you gain awareness in a dream, it’s possible to consciously choose to explore sexual scenarios. Many lucid dreamers experiment with intimacy in these states, though the outcomes often reveal more about the psyche than about actual pleasure. Sometimes, even with control, the dream shifts or ends before anything happens, reflecting deeper psychological dynamics.
What do sexualized dreams mean?
Sexual content in dreams often reflects more than physical desire. It can symbolize emotional needs, internal conflicts, or aspects of yourself that are seeking integration. For example, dreaming of intimacy may point to unresolved feelings, repressed experiences, or even a longing for connection. These dreams can be invitations to understand what’s going on beneath the surface of your waking life.
Why do I see sex in my dreams?
Seeing sex in your dreams doesn’t always relate to literal desire. It can be your subconscious expressing vulnerability, creativity, or emotional tension. Often, these images appear when you’re processing past experiences, unmet needs, or intense emotions. Dreams use symbolic language, and sex is one of its most potent tools for showing inner movement and psychological growth.
