Re: Summerlander's Blog
30/08/2011:
I went to bed at 1.40 am and had a series of vague dreams. I became lucid in the last one before waking up at 6.45 am. In this dream, I recall socialising with friends in a school environment. Lucidity manifested when I decided to use the toilet. I am not sure what caused this dream-induced phase entry, but, I suspect that the strangeness of the cubicle where I became self-aware had something to do with it.
I exited the cubicle and encountered a corridor. The surroundings reminded me of my former residence in Portugal. This made me wonder if the phase setup was partly created from memory. The phase displayed a dismal ambience and the air felt denser than water, or at least there was friction in its spatiality. Gravity kept me grounded and made me as slow as a walking aquanaut.
As the front door of the house was open, I walked out for the sake of exploration and came upon a flight of stairs illuminated by daylight coming from a huge stained glass window. I rubbed my hands against each other, in order to brighten up my surroundings, in vain. The environment would not change and I was apparently invisible as I could not see my hands despite having a vivid tactile sensation of rubbing them against each other.
Someone came up from behind and walked ahead of me. When I looked up to see who it was, I made out a character quite similar to Tahir, a former schoolmate of mine. Although the phase version of Tahir seemed to have a life of his own, I was not acknowledged by him in any way. He simply went downstairs, faster than I possibly could, and trying to catch up to him only frustrated me and made me wonder why my motion was so restricted. I looked on as the phase inhabitant walked out of the building and out of sight. I gradually returned to wakefulness and got up to use the toilet.
A few minutes later, I went back to bed in order to re-enter the phase. In my relaxation, it didn’t take long for a pulsatile hiss to ensue in my head. In order to separate from the body, I swiftly sat up and grasped the wall bend to pull myself out. I felt heavy as I bent over backwards to escape the perceived magnetism of the bed location where I had been lying. At one point, during my struggle, I wondered if I was really awake and trying to balance myself in a groggy state.
I finally managed to stand away from the bed and had more time to focus on the slightly misty vision of what appeared to be my bedroom. I had tactile perception of my hands but no visual confirmation just as before. For a fraction of a second, however, there had been a transparent flicker of something. A foul (an accidental or undesired exit from the phase), to adopt Michael Raduga’s terminology in “School of Out-of-Body Travelâ€

Re: Summerlander's Blog
Estimated 15 seconds in the dream-induced phase entry (with Tahir).
Estimated 10 seconds in the phase including an arduous re-entry as separation seemed slow.
Estimated 30 seconds in the phase at the second re-entry (with the droopy eye), although movement was restricted, this one seemed to last longer.
Estimated total time: 55 seconds. When I woke up I thought I had been there longer, but, realistically, my stay in the phase was closer to just under a minute.
Amazing, isn't it? Perception of time in the phase is often different or distorted.

Re: Summerlander's Blog
08/09/2011:
I went to bed at 11.55pm of the previous day, which is a lot earlier than the times that I’ve been going to bed lately. At 2.30am, I woke up, with no dream recall whatsoever, and, went to the toilet. I went back to bed at exactly 3am, feeling less sleepy and less knackered. Vibrations ensued and I separated from body with difficulty as a pulling force kept thwarting my endeavours.
I made it to the hallway in absolute darkness and felt the banister and walls with my hands. Tactility was strong but vision was nil. I dived into the floor in order to translocate to a brighter environment, with an alien world destination in mind, but I merely landed on a sub-floor level which was still shrouded in darkness. Apparently, a foul followed as I found myself back in bed with ongoing vibrations that soon dissipated as I struggled with separation again.
I fell asleep and had a vague dream about playing hide-and-seek in the aisles of what was apparently a cross between a supermarket and a garden centre. I regained wakefulness and remained still until vibrations ensued. I entered a dark phase again as I sat up in bed and looked around. I heard Stacey asking me to stay and pulling me back to bed, which almost convinced me that I was still awake, but the darkness reminded me that none of it could be real. Still, I got caught up in a struggle with the Stacey impersonator as she would not let go of me.
Another apparent foul occurred and mild vibrations were realised before I disconnected from the body and entered an inauspicious shadowland. I rubbed my hands against each other and demanded clarity to no avail. I felt a carpet beneath me and caught visual glimpses which vaguely indicated the location of objects around me. In a startling turn of events, I felt something touching my foot.
I turned around and discerned the giant silhouette of an aracnid-like creature. I crawled backwards as fast as I could as fear gripped me. I could hear and feel the creature giving chase as I daren’t look at it. I regained physical body awareness and experienced dwindling vibrations. I thought it was too late to re-enter the phase so I opened my eyes. I saw that the roll-up blinds, which were drawn in reality, were now partially open.
I heard voices and saw shadows right outside the windows, as though people were standing on a balcony. There is no such thing in reality and the people would have to be hovering a good 15ft in the air, which is impossible. Suddenly, the dawning dark blue sky seen through the middle window turned black even though the window closest to the bed still displayed a blue atmosphere.
Stacey rose and swiftly drew the curtains shut. The impossible factors, the exaggerated size of one of my posters, and the incongruity of curtains covering the nearest window, instead of a blind, really hit home. I was still in the phase and should have acted sooner because another apparent foul followed and my head hissed rhythmically. I attempted a partial separation by slowly moving my arm but felt that I had moved physically.
Convinced that I had ruined a possible phase re-entry, I opened my eyes and saw Stacey lying next to me. Everything looked as it should, and the environment felt physical. I looked at my hands - which looked normal with their wrinkles, pores, hairs, ridges and fingerprints - and heard the natural noise produced by the act of rubbing them together. Tactility was accurate, too.
I peered at one of my posters and realised the lettering was augmented, and, after a while, I noticed a flicker. I blew on my hands to see if anything unusual might happen. I stopped exhaling, but, a stream of air continued to flow from my mouth, accompanied by a hiss like that of air escaping from a tyre. The impact of this manifest impossibility was enough to convince me of the mental nature of my surroundings. The exhalation was continuous throughout this phase.
I remembered my plan of action and decided to execute the first step pertaining to tests conducted by the OOBE Research Centre founded by Michael Raduga. I pinched my nose for the first time in the phase and felt that my index and thumb could meet within. The nose felt rubbery and pinching it was not uncomfortable in the slightest.
Despite my nostrils being blocked, I could breathe through them and thus was able to perform and observe the impossible. I fouled for real and got up at 4.30am to report everything. By 5.10am, I went back to bed to rest but fell asleep and had a vivid dream about being chased by a criminal militia in a foreign country.

Re: Summerlander's Blog
Yes, I certainly experienced an adrenaline rush and it was quite intense. I also recorded this dream in detail. It started in an airport and there were screens showing the news that the country was in turmoil. Interesting narrative!
I remember saying to someone that I would take the militia on and this person said to me that they were too violent and have advanced weapons. Then the screens showed them in action. They were murdering people in cold blood and seemed unstoppable. There were far too many of them. The person who was with me said that they have already killed tens of thousands.
Suddenly they were there, making everyone duck down. I felt that it was impossible to fight back. There was a leader who said to us that there was no point in ducking because he wasn't done with us yet. Then, his henchmen grabbed a woman, stripped her and took her inside a room. The leader was supposed to have his way with her. I decided to play the hero and save her.
In the end, I found myself running away from them and ended up on the roof of a house and was helped by a group of people.
Subsequently, another dream started. I was at a party with my mother and was asked by a woman to measure two plastic rulers put together. They magically became one (should have become lucid (!)) and I folded it before giving it back to her. A man was not happy that we made contact. I joined my mother by the tables where the food was found and indulged on loads of chocolate, caramel and cream cakes. I could taste them too. Delicious!

Even after awakening i could feel that i had ate something, still felt it's taste! It waas pretty realistic, even more real than real world!

No worries. By the way, I'm on page 160 of SOBT. I'm loving the various examples of phase applications and the techniques. In a couple of weeks I should be ready to start reading the new version.
I know it will be available for free here but I want to have a hard copy. That way I can teach my friends and family when I go away on holidays.

Re: Summerlander's Blog
12/09/2011:
I went to bed at midnight with the intention of using the deferred method to enter the phase. I woke up at 1.20am feeling a little muzzy and went to the loo. At 1.40am, I went back to bed and experienced mild vibrations. I strained the brain in order to intensify them and it worked. Soon, my head was crackling and a change of temperature was distinguished. I started to slide towards the end of the bed, where my feet were, and, in the process, was ejected out.
The manifest ambience of the phase was gloomy and spectral, but, as soon as I started the hands friction technique and puffed a hot stream of air over them, visual perception improved tenfold. An altered version of my abode could be seen in great luminosity. My bedroom was larger than it should have been and a blue-green hue dominated the hyper-reality of the phase. I turned to the bed and could see bodies under the covers. I felt the opaque and cold surfaces of walls and the ceiling as I flew about the house.
On my way to a very different living room, and now walking instead of flying, I realised that the memory of my plan of action escaped me. I almost panicked about a possible premature exit because of this, but then, I decided to rub my feet on the laminate flooring until at least one of the planned steps came back to me.
Soon, it dawned on me that, while me and my wife watched Big Brother before bedtime, I had talked to her about how interesting it would be to visit the reality show’s set and see what kind of information I might get from the contestants. When me and Stacey watch the show, we try to suss out their psychology, and now, in the phase, I had a desired destination.
I translocated by shutting my eyes, as I ran along the corridor, and, imagining that I was already at the BB house simultaneously. The result was exactly what was expected when I opened my eyes. The brightly lit environment made me feel like I was in the sitting room of the BB house, and I could see the worktop where contestants cook their meals. I saw stools and red chairs scattered over a cream carpeted floor and mirrored walls appeared to make the room more spatious.
It was nighttime, and, by the outdoor swimming pool, I spotted a few contestants engaged in conversation. I glided towards them while rubbing my hands together in order to maintain the phase. I recognised Pamela Anderson, Jay, Tashie and Alex amid strangers. Everyone was chatting away and sipping at their drinks - some standing, some sitting - and nobody took any notice of me. Then, I discovered that Tara Reid was also there, which didn’t make any sense because she had been evicted from the house in the last show. Moreover, Will Ferrell (the actor) was there, too, and he was never a BB contestant. I found it interesting that my mind was composing a construct that consisted of unrelated waking life elements I had recently been exposed to. After all, I had been watching the end of the film “Land of The Lostâ€

WOW!
Really cool Summ!
I too had a slight LD but only for a fraction of a second then I lost it and went around with a very vivid dream, that i recorded in my dream journal!
Your experiences are very cool, and you seem very stable in the phase!
And the way you put the story in words...makes me want to achieve the phase even more, increases my desire to reach the same level and more

Re: Summerlander's Blog
Thanks, Wiii!
I really got lucky last night. I needed an experience like this because the one before was so gloomy and slightly scary. I try to convey through words the experience as best as I can. I am willing to do some more phase-related art that will illustrate such experiences.
My wife also enters the phase briefly and then loses it. I told her about the techniques she can perform to remain in the phase longer. By the way, what happened in your vivid dream? Vivid dreams can feel so real too...the differences being that we appear to lack waking life memory and believe it to be physical.
I was chased by an angry mob in one once. I thought it was really happening. It got to the point where I ran towards a window not knowing whether I was about to commit suicide or about to become lucid in a dream.

Re: Summerlander's Blog
Well, yes it felt very real, and even at this hour I am still thinking about it!
I was in my grandparents home..a party was about to begin, and I've noticed a girl that somehow I knew i was about to make sex with hehe!
So i went to my cousins room very concerned cause I did not had condoms..and he gave me one!
Went to the bathroom where she prepared the hot tub for us,and she was expecting me there!
We started to make out with kissing and all the stuff...when slowly I lost that and found myself in another place!
Now i was at my work(where I am now) and as i sat in my little yard
I saw a passenger plane (like a 747) it was flying upside down!
I said..what the heck...!!!
Then a friend came by ...i told him about the plane,he said no way
that is impossible....and i go..i swear man that is what I saw
Then one of my classmates came, she was with her mother!
Now interesting fact, her mother is like 50 y.o. maybe more and she was driving a pearl green honda prelude from 98' ,and listening to rap music!!
Again...what the f...
I asked my classmate why she isn't driving, and what the heck happened to her mother heh!
I do not recall the answers good cause there my memory has intrerupted!
It was very real tho, even now I can recall the feeling of that girl's skin on mine! And the warm water from the tub,the bubble around us,the walls of the bathroom, even the shampoos from the shelves!
And before this..I had a vague feeling I saw somewhere like it was a dream, that I had written 3 dreams befor i dreamed the above story...
but this i do not know for sure!

Woah!!! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your latest adventure!
I laughed when you posessed the girl's body! I imagined her like a puppet with strings lol!
And that pink and purple sky......wow!

@wiii:
You naughty boy!
Btw, Your dreams put out a lot of cues for you to become lucid. The only thing they are not doing is having signs up saying: "This is a dream"
You inexplicably find yourself in another place, a plane flies upside down, and a 50 year-old mother who likes rap (mind you, my mother-in-law like Snoop Dog
)...
Get down to some dream detective business! Cool!
@Luna:
I'm so glad you like it. I only hope my experiences inspire others to take this practice seriously. Alex felt like a human puppet indeed...but no strings!
As for the nebula, it was gorgeous. It was something like this:

Perhaps with a little more purple and maybe orange in certain areas and far more stars. It was one of the best sights I've seen in ages!
And this picture I also got from google images is close to the Milky way and the beach environment I encountered in the phase afterwards:

that what I experience is a dream, but I can't figure it out then,it seems like I belong there since forever!
The pictures are very beautiful, but i bet they do not compare with sightings in the phase...I am sure they were breathtaking!!

Re: Summerlander's Blog
I agree. Worlds in the phase can outdo those images. Also, I'm not happy with the soil in the second image. In my experience, it was white luminous sand and the Milky Way looked even brighter. We can truly access everything we need (even better reality) in the phase.

Talking about dream cues.....I also have SO many. I fly alot and the other night I looked up into the sky and saw hundreds and hundreds of floating cars!! I looked at my brother as if to say "WTF??" and he replied "Yeah, it's normal!!" I then accepted that and went on with the dream. LOL my mind is a trickster!

Maybe you can tell someone who's skilled in photoshop to modify that image and make the sand brighter...and all this stuf...Summerlander wrote: I agree. Worlds in the phase can outdo those images. I was thinking to create images from the phase by using photosshop or some kind of program to modify pictures...they would look so cool
but I do not have a clue how to work in photoshop, and I do not really have time to learn how to do it!
@Luna:
Yeah, our mind seems to accept the anormal parts from the dreams, because our logic device from the brain shuts down when we dream!
So giving a spark to that device to start it is the start of becoming lucid, and once that is working Other parts of the brain that normally are shut down will start working along with it!

Btw I had the phase last night:D it's on my blog page!
