I was wondering how you are supposed to spend a day preparing if you intend to try an indirect technique the next morning. All I am currently doing is reading about the phase and writing about my failed experiences each morning.
the book says you should practice five times per day. What exactly does it mean by this? What are you supposed to practice and how?
Really what I want here is a plan of action that I can take on my non-rest days that I can use to enter the phase. So if anyone could please tell me what to do please do so.
thanks in advance

Re: How to spend a practise day?
You don't practice five times a day, upon awakening, you cycle through the techniques at least five times. That is, you should have a set of three or four techniques that you cycle through when you awaken. You keep cycling until something works. If it does, you focus on it, and try to separate.
The general advice is to attempt phase entry only two or three times a week.
To prepare, before you go to sleep, say, you affirm your intent to enter the phase...And you need to have an action plan, at least five discrete actions you intend to carry out in the phase.
All of this is in the guidebook.

Wow ok thats good...
I am doing everything right then. I have been attempting cycling techniques each practice morning (4 times per week) and then resting.
I just did not have a plan of action 5 things I needed to do... Ill make one now.

Re: How to spend a practise day?
Yes, that is good.
I would add that for beginners it might be okay to set the alarm or use strong intention to wake up after 6 hours of sleep (better not to use the alarm, just intention. But if the alarm is needed to wake up, use it) on both Friday and Saturday night when you know the sleep interruption won't mess up your ability to function well the next day. Use the indirect techniques to project then. Success at this time leads to longer projections for me and is so much better.
Then also use the indirect techniques upon awakening first thing in the morning for several more days that week.
For the first couple weeks of trying I think it is okay to overdo it a little -- until first success, then back off a tad.
