Lucid dream skills extending into non lucid dreams
Lucid dream skills extending into non lucid dreams
I've been flying in lucid dreams for so long that I've started doing it in non lucid dreams regularly. Its gotten to the point where every night I remember some non lucid dreams in which I've been flying. The dreams I remember from last night definitely weren't lucid ones because I viewed the DCs as real people but I was flying around, landing on rooftops. Whenever I'm getting chased in a non lucid dream, I remember that I can fly so I just fly away. This makes me immune to those kinda nightmares because the things chasing me can't fly and they're rarely fast enough to keep up with me. Is it the same for any of you?

It's exactly the same for me too.In fact, the night before last I spent most of my time floating, flying and doing acrobats. It's kind of a sublucid state I think because there is slightly more self reflection with this dream skill than with regular dreaming.
Sometimes I become completely lucid this way too. I'll suddenly try to float or fly in a kind of show off way in some dream environment and then the 'aha moment' will come! (one of the best experiences there is IMO)

Same for me too.
It's like if I were aware of the properties of the non-physical reality, but somehow I dont get lucid.

Re: Lucid dream skills extending into non lucid dreams
Lucid dreaming promotes, or at least encourages, conscious awareness. I have also noticed that I have been having ordinary dreams which are quite vivid and on the verge of lucidity. The phase state is not something in the brain that can be switched on. It's part of a spectrum and as practitioners we should aim for the optimal hybrid state.
