Overcoming dreams

Post by LawPaw »

Occasionally I will awaken from a dream in a perfect state to quickly enter the phase; however, the dream that I awaken from is so vivid and jarring that it is difficult for me to focus into entering the phase because I am thinking about the dream.

Anybody else ever had this problem?  Should I just try to re-enter the dream?  That doesn't seem like such a good idea, but I suppose I could change this immediately or translocate.

Had that happen this morning and ended up trying for way too long to get into the phase because my body was still mostly in sleep paralysis.

I suppose a better option would have been to just go back to sleep and wait for the next awakening.

Everyone has different opinions... If it were me I would re-enter the dream however in that state you should be able to visualize whatever you want and go there. You have probably read it already but incase you haven't here is what I did after becoming conscious during a dream exit: http://obe4u.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=4386#p4386

I simply visualized a car after exiting a dream and boom slowly a dream around me formed and I was driving a car. If you want to go further and have common conscious dream exits then experiment and see what kind of things you can come up with. E.g. What if you feel yourself free falling after a dream... Where will you land?
