Hi everyone, I'm currently performing a technique as part of an experiment for a copyrighted book that's yet to be released. Due to this case I can't give full details on the technique itself but I can tell you about an interesting experience I had while using it. Please note that this technique involves using a sequence of many smaller techniques and my sequence will be different from others using the technique as we choose the techniques in our sequence ourselves.
The experience itself involved quite a lot of transitions. First of all while performing the sequencing technique I transitioned into the dream state without even noticing. I then transitioned to what I call a "simulated phase experience" which is basically dreaming of being in the phase and acting lucid when in actual fact your completely unconscious. You can recognize a simulated phase experience over a real one because in a simulated phase experience you don't complete your plan of action like you would in a real experience.
The simulated phase experience transitioned into a normal dream and then my memory was filled with events that occurred earlier in the dream yet I didn't actually experience them. The dream transitioned quite a few times and continued to fill my mind with false memories until I eventually woke up fully consciously. Anyway the experience went from 4:29am which was when I started the technique and at about 5am I transitioned into the dream state without noticing. I awoke from the dream at 5:30am. Check it out for yourself and tell me if you have experienced any similar transitions:
Finally decided to start listening to the audio guide I made to step me through the sequence of techniques. I used two pillows and a blanket to sit myself up in a semi seated position.
Step 1 (rhythmic breathing) was a little exhausting and I forgot to do it about halfway through for a minute but quickly started doing it again as I was determined not to lose focus.
As I was alerted to start step 2 (clearing my mind/meditation) I instantly relaxed and kept my mind blank. It was extremely easy and relaxing as I didn’t have to remember to start doing step 3 (counting from 50 to 0) after 10 minutes as I was automatically reminded by my guided audio file.
Once step 3 started I removed the extra pillow and blanket holding me in a semi-sitting position and lay down comfortably on my side. As I counted backwards I barely made it to 40 without stuffing up and losing count. Eventually I started to lose focus and forget what I was doing. Without noticing I entered a false awakening that perfectly mimicked and continued on from my physical reality.
As I lay in bed almost unconscious I was suddenly brought back to consciousness by the sound of the audio reminder I made for myself telling me to perform the 4th step in my sequence (mentally repeating and visualising my plan of action).
Just as I was about to start going through my plan of action however my dad walked into my room and asked me what that voice he heard coming from my room was. While trying to come up with an excuse for what it could be my sister came into my room and distracted us both. Two obvious anomalies went unnoticed by my dream self. First of all my clock was displaying 3am which contradicts the fact that I lost consciousness at 5am. Secondly my sister's cot was right next to my bed rather than in her own room like it usually is.
My sister stood up in a cot and stared at my iPad as it was a TV. To make matters worse my mum walked into my bedroom and started questioning us on why we were all in my bedroom. I started explaining to my mum that I was making a phase entry attempt and this very conversation triggered simulated lucidity.
I became a little frightened in my dark bedroom with my parents so I started to levitate above my bed. I then tried to force myself to fly through my glass sliding door which leads to the balcony. When my mum noticed that this wasn't working she spoke to me as if I was totally stupid and said “why don't you just open the doorâ€
