Could cigarettes affect the concentration??

Hello,I am wondering if cigarettes affect the concentration and therefore affect the attempts  to achive the phase state?
Cause i am a smoker and i tried to qiut,I done it but only for a week,and in the period i did not smoked i seemed to have a very good phase,i could say 3 phases in one night!And now i observe is much harder for me to achieve the phase state!
If you know something about this Mr. Raduga please let us know,as i assume I am not the only practitioner who is a smoker!

I'm not smoker but I have never seen any correlations between smoking and the phase practice
